This course is designed to support educators in providing students with crucial AI literacy skills by using the AI Ready Skills credential program available to schools across the state.
AI Ready Skills is a credential program which develops and proves students’ skills in the evolving world of Artificial Intelligence. The program is available at no cost to schools in Wyoming through a partnership between the Wyoming Department of Education, Prodigy Learning and Microsoft.
Providing foundational knowledge in the subject of Artificial Intelligence the credential program is comprised of four units – Introduction to AI, Exploring Data and AI, Coding and AI, and Practicing Responsible AI. The pathway takes approximately 60 hours to complete but is flexible in delivery.
The program engages learners through game-based learning in a highly engaging curriculum and rewards their learning with credentials. The program is easy-to-teach and uses Minecraft Education to immerse students in a fun and engaging learning environment providing students with skills in-demand job roles, building the workforce of tomorrow.
The AI Ready Skills Certified Educator is available either as a self-paced online course supported by the team at Prodigy Learning and is also offered instructor-led virtually throughout the year. The course totals approximately six hours of content (for instructor-led this is split across three, 2-hour sessions).
